The Malvern Hills AONB offers excellent cycling opportunities for people with different interests and a range of cycling abilities. Around the Hills themselves a network of country lanes pass through a variety of different landscapes from steep wooded hills to gently rolling farmland.
By Bike in the Foothills of the Malverns’ provides details of four different bike rides which explore the landscape, culture and heritage of the AONB. The routes differ in the distances covered and levels of difficulty, ranging from pleasant meanders along quiet country lanes to more hilly excursions with prolonged climbs. Routes 1, 2 and 3 take you to Colwall and Cradley, British Camp and Bromesberrow and Storridge and Knightwick, respectively. Route 4 is a combination of all of the above routes for those who are feeling energetic!
Guests will be spoiled for choice with a wealth of stunning National Trust properties and ornamental gardens nearby; Greyfriars House, Croome Court, Brockhampton Estate, Witley Court & Gardens, Eastnor Castle, Elgars Birthplace Museum (to name but a few!) are all within 10-20 mile radius
